Before and After of Breast Reconstruction of Poland Syndrome – Dr. Max Polo – Miami Plastic Surgery

You are about to watch Dr. Wolf perform a rhinoplasty. A rhinoplasty, or nose job, can be performed to improve the aesthetics of the nose as well as for reconstructive purposes including the restoration of nasal function. The procedure involves a change in length, contour, width or definition. Rhinoplasty is the most commonly performed facial plastic surgery in the United States.

You are about to watch Dr. Kelly perform a blepharoplasty. Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is a procedure that involves the removal of excess skin and fat and is designed to restore a more youthful appearance to your eyes. It will not, however, affect crow’s feet or deep wrinkles. Blepharoplasties may involve the upper lids, the lower lids, or both.

Blepharoplasty incisions are made in the fold or crease of the upper eyelids. With the lower lids, the incision can be made either right at the lash line of the lower eyelids or through the inside of the lid. Through these incision sites, I am able to eliminate skin and fat.

Blepharoplasties maybe also be performed in conjunction with fat grafting. Fat grafting, or fat transfer, is the process of taking small amounts of fat from one part of the body and re-injecting it elsewhere, to restore a plump, youthful look.

Endoscopic Breast Augmentation

You are about to watch Dr. Kelly perform an endoscopic breast augmentation. Endoscopy is a surgical technique that involves the use of an endoscope, which is a special viewing instrument that allows a surgeon to see images of the body’s internal structures through very small incisions. The endoscope consists of two parts: A tubular probe fitted with a tiny camera and bright light, which is inserted through a small incision; and a viewing screen, which magnifies the transmitted images of the body’s internal structures. During the surgery, Dr. Kelly watches the screen while moving the tube of the endoscope through the surgical area.

The advantage of using endoscopy is that your scars are smaller and more likely to be hidden in a less visible place like the navel or underarm. Because the incisions can be smaller, bleeding, bruising, and swelling can be significantly reduced. You can recover and return to work more quickly.

Tummy Tuck

You are about to watch Dr. Kelly perform a tummy tuck. A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure used to remove excess skin and fat from the abdomen and to tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall. Most tummy tuck patients are dealing with the effects of pregnancies and weight loss and find themselves with loose skin in spite of exercise and weight control. Each year, thousands of Americans undergo a tummy tuck to tone, firm and define the abdominal area.
